Florin Catanescu is the Founder and President of Un Pas Spre Viitor (A Step to the Future) association that helps orphans find jobs, while providing accommodation for one year after they enter adulthood. Having grown up in orphanages his entire life, Florin was determined to help others, to share love, and to help orphans integrate into communities both socially and professionally. With the support of U.S. Embassy grants and of the American organization Hearts Across Romania, Florin renovated and opened a center in Brasov that has cared for nearly a hundred youth so far. Florin is a wonderful example of a man who has emerged victorious from hardships and serves as an inspiration to all.
